As a Personal Lines Producer, your main responsibility will be finding and selling new business for the agency and maintaining relationships in order to retain accounts. Your duties will include prospecting, cold calling, exploring additional coverages with clients and other methods of bringing new business or expanding on current business with the agency.

Essential Functions:

Include but are not limited to the following:

  • Contact prospects and customers by phone, email, text message, or on social media in order to qualify prospects and bring new business into the agency.
  • Meet monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals as agreed upon with the Personal Lines Manager.
  • Ask all clients for referrals.
  • Attend Town Day events in the area to gain new prospects and represent the Agency.
  • Work with Personal Lines Account Managers to ensure a smooth, professional and consistent line of communication between you, the customer and the company.
  • Attend company meetings as needed.
  • Review all policies and coverages with client and ensure the client understands the coverage they have or do not have based on the coverages they selected.
  • Offer additional coverages to client when you see the opportunity to do so or a gap in the risk.
  • Cross-sell Commercial Lines Insurance Policies if applicable.
What is required?

  • NJ Property & Casualty Insurance License
  • Thorough understanding of insurance coverage in order to clearly communicate coverages to the client
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
  • A positive attitude, a desire for coaching and a strong work ethic are essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to identify opportunities in order to meet sales goals
Supplemental pay types: Commission pay 50% New/Renewal
Compensation: $40,000.00 per year
